Who can do it?
Join the friendly competition - workplace against workplace - to see who can bike to work more during the month of September. The workplaces with the highest percentage of commutes by bicycle during the month win!
Whether you're a rider or an employer, whether you're thinking about trying bike commuting for the first time, or you're an experienced rider, the Challenge is for you.

The Oregon Catholic Press Bike Commute Challenge Team knows that a bike commute will brighten any day.You can do it!
Any Oregon or SW Washington workplace of any size can take the Bike Commute Challenge. And since this is a friendly, free competition, any employee can play.
You don't need official permission to register yourself or, if you're the first registrant from your workplace, your team. But if your company has an employee transportation coordinator, you might want to ask that person if they'd like to coordinate the BCC for your workplace as well. (We can change coordinators and assign co-coordinators if necessary.)
Because the BCC counts one-way and part-way bike trips, you can participate no matter how long your commute. Drive part way and bike the rest - it counts! Take the bus to work and bike home - it counts! Everyone who logs just one trip by the end of the month is entered in a prize drawing (of course, logging more trips gets you into more prize drawings too).
If you're out of town for much of September, or you work part-time, that is also ok. Our trip logging calendar lets you customize your schedule to eliminate days that you don't work, for whatever reason.
Workplaces outside of Oregon and SW Washington are welcome to register and use the website, but they won't be included in the final rankings and awards at the end of September.
